 Yes, it could be from testosterone therapy.  An increase in testosterone can increase hair loss in men who are genetically predisposed.  Unfortunately you get the hair loss genetics from your mother, the genetics appear to be X linked, and you receive a Y gene from your father and an X gene from your mother.  So however much hair your father has is not so much an indication of what you will have.  As you can see from me, I am bald as a bean.  My father has a full head of hair at 80 years old, but my mother’s father was bald at 30.
